Paul Pogba has revealed the main difference between the Serie A and the Premier League after leaving Manchester United for Juventus this summer.

The Frenchman returned to Italy on a free transfer after his contract at Old Trafford expired but has yet to make his second debut for Juve due to a meniscus injury he suffered in pre-season.

Pogba made a then-world record £89 million transfer to United in 2016 but failed to live up to his reputation during his time in the Premier League despite receiving many plaudits from his first spell at Juventus.

However, the 29-year-old told GQ Magazine that the only thing differentiating the two leagues was the spending power of Premier League clubs.

Pogba said: "Serie A is always among the most challenging leagues. The real difference with the Premier League is the economic power, but in terms of football, Italy remains among the best in the world in spite of everything.

“There isn’t much difference between Juventus and Manchester United. A top club is a top club. Juventus have always been the best in Italy,” he continued.

“Now they have even better training facilities, they have improved thanks to the same mentality. We always want to win and this will never change.”

Pogba: My heart wanted Juventus

Pogba penned a four-year deal with Juventus having already left United for the Italian side once before and the World Cup winner admitted that Turin was 'where I belong.'

"I like to think and say that it is my heart that made the choice to come back to Juventus. It was also maybe the right time to come back here," Pogba said.

"The last three years in Manchester, also conditioned by injuries, did not go the way I wanted, it's not a mystery.

"Juventus came from two years in which they did not win the Scudetto. It was a good challenge for both of us, and maybe it was the right time to get together and try to take back our rightful place: me and Juventus.

"Inside of me I know that this jersey is very special. It brings out my best. We built a good history with this team, which I never forgot even when I left.

"Coming back here for me is always a reason to push even harder, to stimulate myself to do well. I never had any doubt that this is where I belong."
