Bastoni has become a mainstay in the Inter defence over the last few years and even helped his side become Serie A champions back in 2021, ending an 11-year title drought.

He even found his way to the Italy national team and has become a key figure for them, with the expectation being that he’ll keep his place for the coming years.

Now, there is interest in him from plenty across Europe and these clubs will have to fork out a big sum if they are to get him anytime soon.

Bastoni a major target for many

English side Tottenham were keen to sign him in the summer as Antonio Conte – the man who placed so much faith in him at Inter – was keen to reunite in North London.

They tried for a deal but were priced out for it as they couldn’t agree a fee, and they ended up signing Clement Lenglet from Barcelona instead.

Now, Fabrizio Romano has revealed how much clubs would have to pay to sign Bastoni: “He has a long-term contract with Inter and he won’t leave in January, despite speculation to the contrary.

“I can’t even give you a clear idea of an asking price as I don’t think Inter would name one, but I’m sure they won’t sell him for the reported €50 to €60m I’ve seen around.”

Earlier in the week, it was reported by Spanish outlets that more clubs had entered the race to sign Bastoni in the coming years.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Real Madrid were now looking at signing Bastoni, and a move for him could be made soon.

Where he ends up will be interesting to see, as Inter also wish to keep him at the club, especially if they lose Milan Skriniar.
