Inter set to land huge blow to Chelsea and PSG over Skriniar
There is still interest in Inter defender Milan Skriniar but the Italian club are confident they can keep hold of the player and avoid losing him on a free transfer at the end of the season.
The likes of Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have maintained an interest in the Slovakian, but have been unable to complete a move for him.
PSG were keen to bring him over in the summer but they were unwilling to meet Inter’s high asking price, set at a reported €70 million, which the French champions didn’t want to pay.

Now, they may have suffered a further blow of getting him in a cut price deal in January or for free at the end of the season, as Inter are in positive contract talks.
Inter close to agreement
Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has been talking about a new deal for Skriniar and is hopeful of reaching a total agreement with the player soon.
“I am very optimistic that we can reach a positive conclusion to the negotiations by November 13, the last match in the championship before the World Cup break. There are clues and positive conditions to say that,” he said.

Other than them, the likes of Manchester United and Barcelona were eyeing either cut-price deals or a free transfer to get the transfer done on a free upon the expiry of the Slovakian’s contract.
For a long time, Inter and Marotta have maintained that keeping Skriniar was one of their priorities as they saw him as an important member of the team.
