The ASTRONOMICAL Saudi salary offered to Jose Mourinho
An unnamed Saudi Arabian club are set to offer Roma coach Jose Mourinho an astronomical salary worth €50 million a year.
That is according to Nicolo Schira, who reports that the Saudi club are desperate to hire Mourinho as their new coach at the end of the season.
And in order to bring this about they will break the bank by offering €50m a season from July of 2024.

A move to Saudi Arabia for Mourinho looks increasingly possible.
First of all, Mourinho admitted recently that he will coach in Saudi Arabia in the future.
“I will go to Saudi Arabia in some free time, but I am convinced that I will work there,” Mourinho told MBC Egypt TV channel, as per Reuters.
“I don’t know when, but I am pretty sure of it. I am committed to my work with Roma and I want to give everything to the club until the last day. No one knows the future, but I will definitely do this [work in Saudi Arabia].”
Secondly, his contract at Roma expires at the end of the season and a renewal looks unlikely after overseeing the worst start to a season of his career - as well as as Roma’s worst start in the three-points-for-a-win era in Serie A.
The Giallorossi have won only three of their opening seven Serie A matches and find themselves down in 10th position in the table.

Antonio Conte is the favourite with the bookmakers to replace Mourinho at the end of the season.
Sections of the Italian media even believe that Conte taking over during the current season cannot be ruled out.
If Mourinho isn’t able to improve the form of Roma in the coming weeks, then the calls for Conte will grow louder.
The Portuguese is still very popular with Roma’s fans after leading the club to historic back-to-back European finals, winning the UEFA Conference League in 2022 and being runners-up on penalties to Sevilla in the Europa League in 2023.
