McTominay 'under observation' at Napoli
Scott McTominay is being closely observed by Napoli’s nutrition specialist, according to shock reports from Italy.
The Scotland midfielder joined Napoli from Manchester United for just over €30.5 million on Transfer Deadline Day and he has immediately hit the ground running in Serie A.
McTominay made his debut off the bench versus Cagliari and he impressed during his first start against Juventus, with Antonio Conte reverting away from his preferred 3-4-3 formation in order to accommodate the ex-Man Utd star.

However, Italian outlet Il Mattino (via GOAL) have reported that McTomimany’s diet is being closely monitored.
As per the report, Conte has handed the reins to sports nutrition specialist Tiberio Ancora and McTominay is now under close “observation” to ensure his diet doesn’t result in a decrease in fitness.
The Scotland international has been given a list of foods to avoid to maintain a consistent performance level, with Napoli eager to ensure he isn’t tempted by the delightful Neapolitan cuisine.

Conte is known for being extremely strict with his training and dietary demands, and Romelu Lukaku was famously told to lose weight upon joining his Inter Milan side from Man Utd.
While McTominay remains in peak physical condition, Napoli reportedly believe he is “at risk” of falling into poor eating habits and they have opted to monitor his diet in order to prevent this.
