Five players who could leave AC Milan this summer

AC Milan could lose some of their most important players during the 2025 summer transfer window, with a very busy few months expected at San Siro.
The Rossoneri will be looking to win their first Scudetto since 2022 and while a number of players have been linked with a move to the club, sales may be required first.

Below, FootballTransfers runs through five players who could leave AC Milan this summer.
Theo Hernandez
Theo Hernandez is widely considered to be one of the best full-backs in world football, but he is expected to leave AC Milan this summer.

The Rossoneri reportedly accepted a shock €47 million bid from Como in January and although Hernandez rejected the move, he is set to leave San Siro later this year following several issues both on and off the pitch.
Man Utd have been tipped to pursue a deal for the France international, however the January addition of Patrick Dorgu may complicate their pursuit.

Rafael Leao
Rafael Leao remains a fantastic player on his day, but his form has been largely inconsistent during the 2024-25 campaign and a Milan departure has been touted as a serious option.
Barcelona are still eager to purchase the Portugal international, while Chelsea could rekindle their interest amid reports that Joao Felix may join Milan on a permanent deal once his loan spell ends.
However, Leao’s contract at San Siro isn’t due to expire until 2028, so Milan will only consider a sale if a huge offer is lodged.
Mike Maignan
Mike Maignan’s reputation as a world class goalkeeper has been thrown into contention due to a number of high-profile mistakes this season.
The France star has been in talks over a contract extension at Milan for several months, but he is yet to sign a new deal and he is set to become a free agent in 2026 as things stand.
Maignan was once deemed to be an untouchable at San Siro, however Milan could feasibly accept a major bid this summer following his downturn in form.
Fikayo Tomori
Tottenham Hotspur agreed a deal to sign Fikayo Tomori during the January transfer window, but the Englishman rejected the chance to secure a Premier League return in favour of remaining at AC Milan.
However, Milan are open to a sale in 2025 and Tomori may be on the move when the summer window opens.
The former Chelsea defender has two years remaining on his current contract at San Siro, meaning this summer will be Milan’s last opportunity to demand a large transfer fee.

Samuel Chukwueze
Samuel Chukwueze is widely expected to leave AC Milan this summer after losing his first-team place under Sergio Conceicao.
Milan were in talks to sell Chukwueze to the Premier League during the January transfer window, but they were unable to finalise a deal before the end of Deadline Day and the Nigerian remained at San Siro.
Chukwueze still has three years left on his current deal with the Serie A giants, however his time at the club is set to end prematurely in 2025.
