The Rotterdam club have accepted an offer that can amount to more than €6 million with bonuses. The Brazilian, who is under contract with the reigning Dutch champions until 2026, is close to reaching a total agreement on personal terms with the Scottish giants on a contract until the summer of 2028.

It is expected that Danilo will fly to Glasgow in the coming days to undergo his medical. At Rangers, he will play together with former Feyenoord striker Cyriel Dessers. De Telegraaf previously reported that the 24-year-old will earn €45,000 a week in Scotland, more than double what he made in Rotterdam.

Danilo's rise

Danilo was signed from Ajax on a free transfer just a year ago and started his time at Feyenoord in red-hot form, scoring eight times and recording two assists between August and November.

After the winter break, however, he was supplanted by Mexican forward Santiago Gimenez. Nevertheless, the striker did not miss a single match in the Eredivisie, the Europa League or the TOTO KNVB Cup. In total, he featured 48 times for Feyenoord with 14 goals and four assists to his name.

With the transfer fee that Feyenoord are set to receive for Danilo, they want to attract a competitor for Gimenez. Very recently the name of Ayase Ueda was being floated.

Club Brugge's Japanese striker made a big impression last season and managed to find the net 22 times in the Jupiler Pro League. This saw the 24-year-old Japanese finish second in the top scorers' ranking, behind Hugo Cuypers of KAA Gent with 27 goals.

The arrival of AS Monaco striker Myron Boadu, who previously worked with Arne Slot at AZ, is also being considered.
