Romano gives update on Liverpool-linked wonderkid
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has delivered an update on Liverpool's reported interest in PSV whizzkid Johan Bakayoko.
Bakayoko, 20, is enjoying a fine season with the Eredivisie club, whom he joined in 2019 as a youth prospect.
The Belgium international has scored eight times in all competitions off the right wing and contributed a further 13 assists, building on the momentum of the last campaign which saw him capped for the first time by his national team.

That talent has not gone unnoticed, and Liverpool are rumoured to be interested in an approach once the transfer window re-opens this summer.
Bakayoko Anfield-bound?
But according to Romano, Reds fans should not be getting too excited just yet over the prospect of adding the young wing wizard to their ranks.
“I’m aware there have been some stories about Liverpool targeting talented young PSV winger Johan Bakayoko, but there is nothing concrete happening yet, nothing serious, with the Belgium international 100% focused on PSV,” he explained to Caught Offside.
The journalist did go on to explain that there is nevertheless plenty of transfer buzz around the PSV kid, who may have a big decision on his hands when summer comes around.
“Still, it’s true that many clubs have been monitoring Bakayoko since last summer," he added.
"Scouts from English top clubs are always travelling to follow him, but it’s nothing more concrete than that for now, and at the end of the season we will likely see Bakayoko assessing his options.”
