The Saudi Pro League team reportedly proposed a two-year deal worth €150 million to the former Real Madrid boss.

But Zidane has rejected the offer in favour of waiting for a more ambitious project.

Zidane to PSG?

PSG are desperately seeking ways in which to keep Kylian Mbappe happy and at the club – and they could find one as they change head coach this summer.

Christophe Galtier is set to lead the Parisians to another Ligue 1 title, yet they have rather limped over the line after a poor second half to the season that has been marked by discord and poor performances.

PSG are set for another of revolution and soul searching, with Lionel Messi poised to depart at the end of his contract and uncertainty over what the future may hold for Neymar.

Mbappe has been caught up in the turmoil and is reportedly unwilling to take up the option of the additional year in his contract, which expires in 2024 as a result.

Consequently, Manchester United and Real Madrid are on alert over the 24-year-old, with the door very much opening for a move – if not this summer then in 2024.

PSG, though, are poised to make a play that could path the way for the World Cup winner to remain at the club.

According to L’Equipe, they see Zinedine Zidane as their “dream” head coach.

Zidane, of course, is a hero of Mbappe’s for what he achieved as a player at Real Madrid.

The two have a positive relationship and it may be that appointing the former head coach of Los Blancos is enough to show the current France striker that there is both the appetite and ability to remain ambitious.
