The Brazil international became the Saudi Pro League’s most expensive signing of all time when he joined Al-Hilal from Paris Saint-Germain for €90 million this summer, but he has not enjoyed his start to life in the Middle East.

Neymar, 31, has only played three goals for his new club - he is yet to score and has just one assist - but he is already eyeing up a move away.

The former Barcelona star caused controversy in September when he was selected by Brazil during the international break, despite not yet making his Al-Hilal debut due to injury, while he has now called for manager Jorge Jesus to be sacked.

According to Sport, Neymar clashed with Jesus during Al-Hilal’s 1-1 draw against Navbahor in the Asian Champions League last week, with the Saudi side needing a 100th minute equaliser from Ali Albulayhi to snatch a point.

Jesus reportedly criticised Neymar for his attitude during the game, which has led to the Brazilian asking for the manager to be fired.

Furthermore, Neymar has already begun planning to leave Saudi Arabia in order to return to his boyhood club Santos in 2025.

Neymar to rejoin Santos?

Brazilian journalist Ademir Quintino has reported, as per Foot Mercato: “During conversations with friends of Neymar Sr and Neymar Jr, I received the information that they did not sign a four-year contract with the Saudis to return (to Santos) a year before the World Cup, like Robinho did in 2010.

“Neymar approached Santos and said he wanted to return to Santos. I have mutual friends with Neymar, who I won't name, but he has a very strong desire to return to Santos.

“Neymar Sr and Neymar Jr told these friends that they had not signed a four-year contract with the Saudis to return a year before the World Cup in Santos.”
