Al-Nassr issue petty statement as fan trolls Ronaldo with Messi celebration
Al-Nassr have released an official club statement after a Saudi YouTuber trolled Cristiano Ronaldo.
The rivalry between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi used to dominate the footballing landscape for over a decade. In recent times, however, it has essentially been laid to rest despite Saudi Arabia's best efforts to try to capitalise on it.
Earlier this year, Inter Miami and Messi were taken to Riyadh during the MLS pre-season for a 'Last Dance' against Neymar's Al-Hilal and Ronaldo's Al-Nassr, but the event was a farce as all three megastars were injured, with Messi ultimately the only one to get on the pitch for ten minutes.

With both playing on different continents in the twilight years of their careers, and neither being nominated for the Ballon d'Or for the first time since 2003, the rivalry on the pitch is all but dead, yet fans are still keeping the fire lit.
Ronaldo is frequently subjected to 'Messi' chants during Pro League games and one Saudi influencer's actions have now prompted Al-Nassr to release an official statement on the matter.
Al-Nassr condemn Ronaldo trolling
Saudi YouTuber Abu Omar recently took part in a tour of Al-Nassr's stadium and photographed himself mimicking Lionel Messi's ear-cupping celebration from the 2022 World Cup in front of Ronaldo's seat in the dressing room.
The picture went viral on social media and Al-Nassr have now responded with a quite petty statement, while the influencer has also apologised for his actions.

“We would like to point out that Al Nassr Club has always welcomed its visitors, fans, and supporters," the statement began. "Throughout its long history, our doors have been open to all. However, the recent individual (irresponsible) actions inside the dressing room at First Park Stadium are unacceptable. Some people fail to recognise the significance of the team they represent, as well as the club’s heritage. They disrespected our fans.
“We want to clarify that Al Nassr Club Company has instructed the relevant internal departments to address the matter immediately, ensuring the club’s literary, moral, and material rights are preserved. We reaffirm that our doors and facilities remain open to all fans, provided they adhere to proper conduct.”
