Jose Mourinho receives most BIZARRE booking of his career

Fenerbahce head coach Jose Mourinho has never been one to keep quiet in his career, yet during his side’s Super Lig match on Sunday, the former Manchester United and Chelsea manager took it to new levels.

Fener might have picked up a 2-0 win over Antalyaspor away from home, but that does not mean that Mourinho was content with the performance of the officials in the game.

Edin Dzeko had a goal disallowed for offside during the clash after 76 minutes, and while Mourinho’s side were leading 1-0 at that point thanks to a goal from Dusan Tadic, it did not stop the mercurial Portuguese from losing his head.

What did Mourinho do?

He grabbed his laptop and placed it in front of a television camera, presumably in a bid to show viewers how wronged his side had been.

The still that Mourinho showed to the camera did not appear to show anything of note – Antalyaspor were in possession in the left-back area in the image he shows – and the match officials were left unimpressed by the Portuguese’s protests.

The Portuguese was booked by referee Cihan Aydin for his actions in what must rank as one of the strangest cautions that the manager has had in what has been a long and outspoken career.

Three minutes after he went into the referee’s notebook, Fenerbahce scored their second goal of the game to seal the points and keep them firmly in touch with Galatasaray at the top of the Super Lig table.

Mourinho was recently fined by officials after missing a press conference, proving that even deep into his managerial career, he remains undefeated when it comes to causing chaos on the touchline and behind the scenes.
