EXCLUSIVE: Championship sides eye Do Couto
Maxime Do Couto is being admired by a string of clubs in the Championship.
We are told that the winger, who is now out of contract, is being eyed up by a number of clubs in the second division of English football.
Do Couto is a tenacious, creative player, who can also play as a No.10 or inside forward. Despite being known for his elegant feet and trickery, he is also a workhorse and is known for tracking back regularly and helping to force turnovers.
The 26-year-old was part of France’s Under-19s setup, playing with the likes of Kingsley Koman, Moussa Dembele, and Theo Hernandez.
He began his career with coach Marco Simone, playing for Tours, before heading to Ukraine to feature for Olimpik Donetsk.
More recently, Do Couto played for Sochaux, scoring five goals and providing two assists in 55 games.
Now without a club, many Championship sides are looking to snap up the clutch player, with a view to playing in England next season.
FootballTransfers has Do Couto's current transfer value between €0.4m and €0.7m. His last transfer was from Olimpik to Sochaux in 202, moving there on a free transfer.
