Darren Fletcher joins Manchester United coaching team
Manchester United have announced the appointment of Darren Fletcher as a member of the first team coaching staff.
Fletcher made over 340 appearances for the Old Trafford club as a player, before stints at West Brom and Stoke City.
Following his spell at Stoke, Fletcher confirmed he had begun studying for coaching qualifications without officially confirming his retirement from playing.
However, the former Scotland international had been coaching United’s Under-16 team since October and has now made the step up to the first-team, where he will work under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the Premier League.
