Nani questions whether Paul Pogba is concentrated on Man Utd
Former Manchester United winger Nani admits he is unsure as to whether Paul Pogba is fully concentrated on his responsibilities at Old Trafford amid continued transfer speculation linking him with a move away.
Over the past couple of years, rumours about Pogba wanting to leave Man Utd have never been far away, with fuel being added to that fire this season when his agent Mino Raiola sensationally claimed that Pogba’s time with the Premier League giants was over.
Pogba, too, previously revealed that it was a dream of his to one day play for Real Madrid.
Despite the continued speculation surrounding his future, the World Cup winner came into a good run of form after Raiola’s comments, helping Man Utd to a temporary stay at the top of the Premier League table.
He is currently out injured, and the Red Devils have missed him desperately.
Nani knows Pogba is a vital player at Old Trafford, but doesn’t know if he is still thinking about a move away this summer.
“At this moment, I see him as one of the important players at Man United,” the Portuguese winger told Stats Perform News.
“But I don’t know what he has on his mind, if he wants to leave or if all this news is making some problems in his head.
“I don’t know if he has full concentration on the team, on the games, on the goals of the team.
“I saw him when he was struggling with some injuries and then he came back and started playing, he was improving his performance. He was doing well.”
Could Pogba be doing better at Man Utd?
Overall, Nani believes Pogba can actually perform to an even higher level that he has been this season, and encouraged him to step up his contributions to the team if he decides to stay beyond the summer.
“He was helping the team, but we know Pogba can do much better, he can do much more because he is a top player in this position,” Nani continued.
“He’s not using all his strength, all his qualities.
“But if he wants to stay at the club, for sure he will perform much better very soon. He needs to continue to improve his game, his confidence and try to help the team in the way he can.”
