Jurgen Klopp has blamed his goal-shy attackers following Liverpool’s latest defeat to Fulham, raising more questions about the future of Mohamed Salah.

The Reds are enduring a disastrous 2021 and fell to yet another defeat at Anfield on Sunday, losing 1-0 to relegation-threatened Fulham.

This result means that Liverpool have now lost six straight home games in the Premier League, leaving their hopes of finishing in the top-four at grave risk.

Liverpool barely threatened all game in attack and they have failed to score in three of their last four matches.

Star man Salah has been heavily criticised recently, with rumours swirling that he doesn’t enjoy a great relationship with Klopp and team-mate Sadio Mane.

It has also been reported that Salah wants to quit the club this summer, with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain linked with a move.

And these reports will only be bolstered now following Klopp’s post-match comments.

“There were moments we could have had more of an impact on the game. Conceding that goal before half-time was a massive blow. We tried to react and the boys showed that. In the end we don’t score goals and that’s a big problem,” Klopp told Sky Sports.

“Fulham will cause us problems – it’s clear. They’re in a good moment, they’re a good team. We all agree a team like this should stay in the Premier League.

“The winner is always right. My boys wanted it. It’s easy to judge they have won it so wanted it more. I don’t think that’s the problem.

“I don’t have to stand here and say we’re fighting for this or that.”

Liverpool are next in action on Wednesday at Anfield against RB Leipzig in the Champions League, although they hold a 2-0 lead from the first leg.
