Having been left out of Spain's European Championship squad, Ramos has plenty of time to plan his next move after leaving Real Madrid. Ramos spent 16 years at Santiago Bernabeu, winning 22 trophies for the club and making over 600 appearances.

Several Premier League clubs have expressed an interest in the centre-half, with Manchester City and Manchester United the two most heavily interested, but according to AS, Ramos would prefer a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG have already confirmed the signing of Georginio Wijnaldum on a free transfer from Liverpool, and it's believed that they'd love to also add Ramos to their ranks.

The fact he wouldn't cost a transfer fee is enticing, especially as they pursue Achraf Hakimi, and potentially Theo Hernandez, who would both demand a huge fee.

Why does Ramos want a move to PSG?

The Premier League interest for Ramos is mostly coming from Manchester, and it's understood that the 36-year-old would favour a move to Man Utd, over Man City, due to the club's history and stature in world football.

However, PSG trumps both Manchester clubs in Ramos' mind as their offer is not only financially superior, but it would allow him to move to Paris with his family, which he sees as a more attractive prospect than Manchester.

Furthermore, according to AS, PSG are willing to offer Ramos the two-year contract that he is after, something that both Manchester clubs aren't as of yet.

If he were to join PSG, he would rival Presnel Kimpembe and Marquinhos, among others, for a starting berth, but with Mauricio Pochettino's side aiming to go deep into the Champions League next season, having someone of Ramos' calibre and experience may count massively.

After all, he's won the trophy four times in his career.
