Nuno Tavares reveals Arteta advice after first Arsenal goal
Nuno Tavares has revealed the instructions he has received from Mikel Arteta after scoring on his Arsenal debut.
The Gunners drew 2-2 at Rangers in a pre-season match on Saturday.
Tavares was making his first appearance in Arsenal colours after signing from Benfica.
He was thrilled to mark the occasion with a first-half goal and also answered a question about what Arteta wants from him.
"To play free, not be scared, do my job and that's it," Tavares said to the club’s website about what Arteta had asked of him.

Of his goal, the 21-year-old added: "I feel very happy to score my first goal with Arsenal. I'm so excited that I did this.
"It felt good [to wear the shirt]. I'm so excited to play with fans at the Emirates. I can't wait for this. We will see.
"It's good to play with the best, like Aubameyang and Laca. They're very good players and to play with them, it's so good."
Arteta: You can see his quality
Arteta was also impressed by the left-back at Ibrox.
"A great debut - with his right foot as well!" Arteta said as he reacted to the goal.
"He's only been with us a few days but you can already see his qualities, his physicality and then the quality on the ball that he has.
"He's integrating with the lads really well, so it's a good start."
Eddie Nketiah scored the other Arsenal goal.
The Gunners, who lost their first friendly to Hibs, now travel to Florida with Inter being their first opponents next Sunday.
