Official: Donyell Malen completes €30m Dortmund move
Donyell Malenhas been chosen as Jadon Sancho’s replacement at Borussia Dortmund, after the German giants confirmed the €30m signing of thePSVforward.
He has agreed a five-year contract with his new club.
Malen has been one of the breakthrough talents in the Eredivisie in recent years and was a prominent member of the Netherlands side that participated at Euro 2020.
The 22-year-old scored 19 goals and provided eight assists in the Eredivisie in 2020/21, bouncing back from what was a serious knee injury suffered the season prior.
And that form has been enough to attract Dortmund, who saw him as the ideal replacement for Manchester United-bound Sancho.

Liverpool had been linked with a move for Malen but it appears as if their interest in the player was never concrete, paving the way for Dortmund to get the deal over the line.
Malen was rejected by Arsenal as a youth team player and he rebuilt his career in PSV where he turned into one of the finest finishers in the division, attracting interest from all over Europe.
His subsequent knee injury curtailed him somewhat but his form bounced back and Frank De Boer gave him two starts during Oranje's doomed Euros campaign.
He can play through the middle or from the wing, providing a similar level of flexibility across the front that Sancho so ably provided.
Sancho, of course, recently completed an €85m move from Dortmund to Manchester United.
