Super agent Mino Raiola makes an average of almost £800,000 for each completed transfer that he is involved in, research has shown.

A study undertaken by OLBG has examined the roles that intermediaries play in football, looking at how much they take in commission as well as looking at the value of the players that they typically sell.

Indeed, Raiola is not the most prolific agent nor is he the representative who claims the most in commission but he does sell high-value assets.

Instead, it is Stellar Sports’ Jonathan Barnett and Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes of Gestifute, who claim the most in commission – as well as taking a higher percentage of each deal than Raiola. The chief reason they are the top-earning agents, though, is that they are so prolific in terms of the deals they conclude.

Mino Raiola’s clients

Mino Raiola boasts around 77 clients on his books, including many of the game’s highest-profile names.

Among those active in the 2021 summer transfer market, Raiola has on his books Gianluigi Donnarumma, who moved to Paris Saint-Germain on a free, Paul Pogba, who could depart Manchester United for the Ligue 1 side, Donyell Malen, who will become Jadon Sancho’s replacement at Dortmund and, of course, BVB striker Erling Haaland, who is football’s hottest property.

Raiola is also famously in the corner of Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has often spoken of the close relationship that he has with the agent.

It is Jonathan Barnett’s Stellar Group that boasts the most valuable stable of footballers, according to this research.

Barnett oversaw Gareth Bale’s world-record €100 million move from Tottenham to Real Madrid in 2013 and also boasts high-profile young England stars Mason Mount of Chelsea and Jack Grealish of Aston Villa among his ranks.

Moreover, he also recently took Rennes youngster Eduardo Camavinga under his wing, with the young France international set to make a big summer move this year, with Manchester United and PSG among the interested clubs.
