Chelsea clearly have big plans to sign a number of important players this summer but so far they’ve had more success selling players.

To date, the club have sold central defender Fikayo Tomori and striker Olivier Giroud to Milan for around £27.28 million, while Victor Moses has made a permanent move to Spartak Moscow for £4.5m.

Another player that could be moved on this summer as Chelsea prepare remarkable bids for star players is Kurt Zouma.

According to Sky Sports, the defender is of notable interest to two clubs in West Ham and Spanish giants Sevilla.

David Moyes’ side are desperate to boost their defensive options for next season, while Sevilla could look to include Zouma in a player-plus-cash deal if Chelsea get serious about their interest in Jules Kounde.

So if Chelsea do end up selling Zouma, how much should they expect to make from the player’s departure this summer?

How much is Kurt Zouma worth?

It seems as though Zouma has been a Chelsea player for quite some time, following loan moves to Stoke City and Everton over the past few seasons, but the defender only made the move to Stamford Bridge in 2014 when the Premier League giants signed him for £13.14m.

In that time Zouma has made no less than 150 appearances for Chelsea and while he may not be considered one of the club’s most valuable defenders at the moment, he still managed to make 36 appearances for the club last season.

Indeed, Zouma was by no means surplus to requirement at the club last season and should still fetch a hefty price after proving his worth in the Premier League at Chelsea and numerous clubs on loan.

At 26 years of age, the French defender still has plenty of improving to do before he reaches his peak years and with a contract at Chelsea until 2023 the club could still make certain demands over his price.

As such, our current statistics and modelling suggests Zouma is currently worth around £30 million, which seems like a realistic fee for Chelsea to demand if Sevilla or West Ham are interested in signing the defender this summer.
