Sancho will be 'the future' of Man Utd, claims former England manager
Former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson believes Jadon Sancho is a great talent and will undoubtedly be ‘the future’ of Manchester United.
The Old Trafford club are on the verge of completing a £72 million move for the Borussia Dortmund forward after spending more than 18 months in pursuit of the talent.
Over the course of 137 games for the Bundesliga side, Sancho bagged no less than 50 goals and 64 assists.
And while the winger may have never played in the Premier League, Eriksson has no doubt that Sancho will hit the ground running in Manchester and prove to be an outstanding signing for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
What Eriksson likes about Sancho’s move to Man Utd
“He’s 21 years old and he should have a great future,” Eriksson told Stats Perform.
“The scouts and the coaches of Manchester United, they have will have looked at him 100 times.
“They are sure that this player will be the future, important in the future otherwise they wouldn’t pay all that money. So when he’s coming back to England then there are no doubts about it.
“I don’t see many games from German league but what I can understand is that he’s a great talent and it is interesting to see him join United.
“There you have it with how important the Premier League is. They can take all the best players in the world and that is good for England.”
