FootballTransfers' transfer valuations are calculated in collaboration with SciSports, a world-leading football analytics agency that assesses the relative transfer valuations of over 60,000 professional footballers worldwide. SciSports use multiple data points including current and potential ability, contract length, form, age, and other crucial factors.

Even at 23 years old, Mbappe is already one of the best and most devastating forwards in world football.

At the moment, he is plying his trade in France with Paris Saint-Germain and is the second most expensive player of all time following his €145m transfer from Monaco which was made permanent in 2018.

FOOTBALLTRANSFERS' MOST VALUABLE PLAYERS IN THE WORLD

He currently has a FootballTransfers market value of €134m which makes him by far the most valuable Frenchman. And, rest assured, that value would be even higher if not for the fact he is out of contract with PSG in June. Of course, he is likely to join Real Madrid then, at which point his value with us will no doubt soar.

Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman continues to prove his doubters wrong with his performances, which initially kept star signing Leroy Sane out of the team. He is second, valued at €62m.

In third is Christopher Nkunku (€60m), who along with Robert Lewandowski has been in the Bundesliga's best player this season.

In 42 starts in all competitions this season, he has scored 30 goals and recorded 16 assists and has been strongly linked with a Premier League move in the summer.

In fourth is Sevilla's Jules Kounde, who comes in at €60m also. The central defender has emerged as one of the most promising young defenders around over the last couple of years, and came close to joining Chelsea last summer.

Manchester United's Raphael Varane is in fifth, valued at €57.5m. He completed a transfer to Old Trafford from Real Madrid for a reported fee of around €49m last summer, so the Red Devils got a good deal there, even if injuries have meant he hasn't hit the ground running in the Premier League yet.

There is only one entry from Serie A and that comes in the form of Milan's Theo Hernandez, valued at €52.4.

Two players who transferred to new clubs this past summer are in seventh and eighth. Eduardo Camavinga joined Real Madrid from Rennes, while Bayern purchased Dayot Upamecano from RB Leipzig.

Rounding out the top 10 are Moussa Diaby and Lucas Hernandez.
