Milan and Everton target will cost €30m says parent club
Milan and Everton will reportedly have to cough up at least €30m if they want to sign key target Nikola Vlasic from CSKA Moscow.
That is according to CSKA CEO Roman Babaev who told Sport24 that a move away for the Croatian will only happen if a worthy offer comes in.
Vlasic has been heavily linked with a move to Milan, while Everton are also rumoured to be interested in re-signing the winger.
Vlasic, 23, was signed by Everton back in 2017 for €11.4m (£10m) after impressing against them for Hajduk Split.
However, he failed to hit the ground running on Merseyside, scoring twice and assisting once in 25 appearances before being loaned to CSKA Moscow. That move was then made permanent for €16.5m (£14.1m) back in 2019.
Since then, Vlasic has scored 25 goals and assisted 12 in 71 starts, mostly from out wide, although he can play centrally as an attacking midfielder.
What has been said?
Babaev, CEO of CSKA Moscow, spoke to Sport24 about Vlasic's future, and revealed: "Nikola outlined his position; he wants to fight for European competition. But wanting and having such an opportunity are two different things.
"The club should receive a worthy offer, but so far there is none. There was interest, it continues, but there is no proposal that would suit the club."
Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Milan were interested in Vlasic, and with Jens Petter Hauge seemingly on his way out to Eintracht Frankfurt, they need a replacement.
The Croatian international Vlasic is viewed as their ideal candidate, although they may face competition from Everton.
However, with Andros Townsend and Demarai Gray already added to their depth out wide, it's hard to imagine Everton signing another winger, especially for €30m.
