Club Brugge deal Leeds transfer blow as PSG slayer Lang signs deal

Leeds United have been dealt a major blow in the transfer market with the news that Noa Lang has elected to sign a new contract with Club Brugge.
The Belgian outfit had numerous players impress during their 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, with captain Hans Vanaken catching the eye with his goal and strong all-round performance.
It was Lang, though, who ultimately won the man of the match award in the clash, eclipsing the likes of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar on a memorable evening.

Leeds were interested in the winger towards the end of the transfer window, but he has signed a new contract with Club Brugge that will run until 2025.
Brugge enjoyed a double boost as it was also confirmed that 20-year-old attacker Charles de Ketelaere, another to shine against PSG, has signed on with the club until 2024.
“Towards the end of the transfer window, there was concrete interest from several clubs,” agent Bart Baving told Het Laaste Nieuws.
“Noa didn’t want to swap this club for any team. And Club Brugge could no longer afford to get rid of Noa in the last few days of the transfer window.”

Lang explodes at Club Brugge
Lang, a 22-year-old Netherlands Under-21 international, won Belgium’s Young Player of the Year award last season after scoring 16 goals in 29 league outings as Brugge won the league.
He spent that year on loan with the club from Ajax and the Belgian outfit bought out his contract for just €6m. That price now seems an absolute bargain and Brugge have already acted to tie down the talent for longer.
Leeds were reportedly willing to around €25m for the attacker but Brugge were holding out for around €30m.
Lang’s display against PSG, though, will have clubs rethinking his valuation as he shone against one of Europe’s finest sides.
