Van de Beek has no Man Utd future after Everton snub
Donny van de Beek may not be a regular at Manchester United, but the snub for Saturday’s Premier League fixture against Everton is surely the final nail in his coffin at the club.
Van de Beek was left visibly frustrated when he was not even brought on during Man Utd’s 2-1 win over Villarreal on Wednesday, a match in which the midfield struggled.
He was branded a “sulker” by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the aftermath and only appears on the bench for the fixture against the Toffees.
Solskjaer has made it clear previously that he does not trust the Netherlands star, and that is even more evident after he was omitted from the starting XI for this match.
After all, the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Paul Pogba have all been rested, with Man Utd’s second line players brought in.
Van de Beek snubbed
With such a quick turnaround between a Wednesday night match in the Champions League and a Saturday lunchtime kick off in the Premier League, such rotation is to be expected – and it is therefore the type of match that Van de Beek could well expect to start.

He is, however, among the substitutes again and will not be optimistic about his prospects of seeing meaningful minutes in this encounter.
Everton, meanwhile, will be rubbing their hands. Van de Beek, who has just six minutes of Premier League football to his name this season, is a player they wanted in the summer and must surely be on their radar in January.
Perhaps he is being punished by Solskjaer for his body language in midweek and the negative press that it has brought to the manager, but if Van de Beek had a future at Man Utd, this is exactly the type of game he would have been involved in.
