Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under huge pressure at Manchester United after another dismal performance this past weekend.

Article continues under the video

Man Utd fell to a 4-2 defeat at Leicester City on Saturday as Mason Greenwood's scorching opener was overturned by goals by Youri Tielemans, Caglar Soyuncu, Jamie Vardy and Patson Daka.

The result and performance demonstrated once again that United are a long way from challenging for the Premier League and Champions League titles.

This despite the fact that United splashed the cash this summer on a string of world-class players as Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho all arrived amidst a blaze of publicity.

United have won just two of their last seven matches in all competitions – suffering four losses during this period – and even those two victories came about courtesy of barely deserved last minute goals.

There have been calls from large sections of fans and the media for Solskjaer to be sacked but his position is understood to not be under any immediate threat.

However, that could change at the end of an extremely difficult run of fixtures that United are involved in.

Between October 16 – when United played and lost to Leicester – and November 30, United have 10 fixtures that would test even the most formidable of teams.

What are Man Utd’s next fixtures?

United started off their difficult sequence with a trip to Leicester City, which they lost 4-2.

On Wednesday, they will host Atalanta in the Champions League.

Their next two league fixtures are then at home versus Liverpool and away at Tottenham before travelling for the return fixture in Bergamo versus Atalanta.

Next up is the Manchester derby on November 6 at Old Trafford before there is another international break to complete the World Cup group qualifiers in Europe.

The only ‘easy’ game of this run is on November 20 at Watford before United play three matches in seven days against Villarreal (away), Chelsea (away) and Arsenal (home).

Should United emerge from this run of fixtures already well off the pace in the Premier League and/or struggling to qualify for the next round of the Champions League, then Solskjaer’s position will surely be under immediate threat.

Especially with one of the best managers in the world in Antonio Conte unemployed and open to an offer from United.
