What happened when Spider Man asked Mbappe to join Tottenham
Kylian Mbappe’s Paris Saint-Germain contract will expire in June, with Real Madrid leading a glut of clubs fighting to secure his signature.
Mbappe has also been linked with a possible switch to Liverpool, while PSG are still eager to retain him for at least one further season.
If there is uncertainty over his future, it is clear that there is one club that Mbappe will not be joining in the summer: Tottenham.
The idea of joining the London club was pitched to the World Cup winner by no less than Spider Man actor Tom Holland at the Ballon d’Or ceremony, but the Spurs fan did not get the answer he was hoping for from the PSG forward.
On an interview that has circulated on social media, Holland explained: “I actually asked Mbappe… he was really friendly. I said: ‘Mate, you have to come to Tottenham,’ and he just burst out laughing!”
Following Holland’s comment, the clip cuts to him with Mbappe on the red carpet at the Ballon d’Or awards, which was held at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris.
Mbappe is seen laughing before saying: “Impossible! That’s impossible!”

Where does Mbappe’s future lie?
If the powers of Super Man were not enough to talk Mbappe into a move to Tottenham, where is he likely to end up next season?
The odds remain stacked in the favour of Real Madrid. It has been a dream of the forward’s to play for the Bernabeu club since he was a boy, with Cristiano Ronaldo his idol at the Spanish outfit.
In the meantime, Mbappe will lead PSG to the Spanish capital in a blockbuster Champions League last-16 encounter, which came about after the initial draw had paired the Parisian outfit with Manchester United only for it to be annulled because of a technical error on UEFA’s part.
