Arsenal launch MASSIVE €180m Vlahovic bid
Arsenal are putting together a package worth an incredible €180 million in an attempt to sign Dusan Vlahovic this month, according to the Daily Mail.
Fiorentina star Vlahovic has emerged over the past year as arguably the best young striker in world football after Erling Haaland.
The 21-year-old Serbian is the current top-scorer in Serie A and only Robert Lewandowski scored more than Vlahovic’s 33 league goals in Europe’s top 10 leagues in 2021.
WHO ARE THE MOST VALUABLE PLAYERS IN THE WORLD?
Arsenal are in the market for a striker this month, as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been transfer listed after disciplinary problems, while Alexandre Lacazette is set to leave the club on a Bosman transfer at the end of the season.
How much will Vlahovic cost?
Vlahovic has become Arsenal’s top target this month and, according to the Daily Mail, the Gunners are prepared to fund a €180m deal between transfer fee and wages.
Fiorentina have placed a price tag of €70m on Vlahovic’s head, while the player is requesting over €350,000 a week in wages.
In addition, Vlahovic’s agents are demanding an €18m sweetener for themselves in order to make the move happen.
Vlahovic unlikely to leave this month
However, FootballTransfers understands that a move for Vlahovic is unlikely this month.

The youngster is likely to leave this summer as his contract expires in 2023 and the chances of a renewal are slim.
Therefore, Fiorentina will be forced to sell in order to prevent losing him on a Bosman transfer next year. But La Viola would prefer to sell at the end of the season as they are currently fighting for a European qualification spot.
Vlahovic himself is also only willing to join a club who are playing in the Champions League next season and wants to wait and see how the rest of the season pans out.
Juventus, Tottenham and Man City are also very interested in Vlahovic, but the former two clubs also face a fight to make it into the Champions League next season.
