Ronaldo reveals future plans amid Man Utd exit rumours
Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United has not been the dream he hoped for when he completed a transfer from Juventus in the summer.
Man Utd were expected to challenge for the Premier League title this season following the arrival of Ronaldo, but the reality is that they find themselves battling for a place in the top four. Indeed, it looks likely they will end the season without silverware.
Furthermore, there are rumours of a dressing room split, which has been caused by a power struggle between the great Portuguese and centre-back Harry Maguire.
Consequently, Ronaldo, who has only scored one goal in his last nine matches, has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
What will Ronaldo do in the future?
Ronaldo insists that he is happy with his form with Man Utd, but seemed to hint that he will have to closely assess his options in order to maximise the rest of his career now that he is 37.
“It's hard to say that I don't want more, because if I'm at a club that gives me the opportunity to win more things, why not, and in the national team too,” he told DAZN.
“I know I don't have many years left playing, four or five more. We'll see, and I want to win more things.
“I don't have to tell you that I'm very good, because the numbers are there. The facts are facts, the rest is not. It doesn't matter at all.
“That's why I'm very happy with my form, I'm still scoring goals, helping people, teams, both in the national team and at Manchester United and that's why I want to continue like this.”
Ronaldo will be back in action with Man Utd in the Premier League on Saturday, when they play host to Watford.
