Napoli have revealed the price it will take to sign defender Kalidou Koulibaly this summer.

The 30-year-old has been in Naples since arriving from Genk in 2014, but despite constant rumours linking him with a move away, nothing has ever materialised.

However, with just one year left on his contract at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, Koulibaly is reportedly for sale this summer.

Napoli are aware this is their last opportunity to make a profit on the €8.2 million (£7m) they spent on the Senegal international, and as a result have reportedly offered him to Chelsea.

Area.Napoli.it reported in early May that Chelsea had been offered the chance to sign Koulibaly to ease the concerns over their limited defensive options next season. Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, and potentially Cesar Azpilicueta are leaving, meaning the Blues are severely hampered in that area on the pitch.

Jules Kounde is reportedly their number one target, but Koulibaly remains an option.

Barcelona are another club who have been linked with the Napoli defender, with Sport reporting the Blaugrana are currently leading the race to sign him this summer.

The aforementioned Christensen is likely to join the Camp Nou side on a free transfer, while Ronald Araujo has signed a contract extension, meaning the pursuit of Koulibaly will add considerable depth to Xavi's backline.

Koulibaly, who won the African Cup of Nations with Senegal earlier this year, is for sale this summer as Napoli want to attract a transfer fee for him.

How much will Koulibaly cost?

They don't just want any transfer fee either; Napoli have set their price.

The Serie A side are reportedly demanding an offer between €25-30m for Koulibaly as they look to shift him on, according to Italian sources via Sport.

Koulibaly has once again been a key member of Napoli's first-team squad, making 32 appearances, while captaining the side on three occasions in Serie A.
