Midfielder Boubacar Kamara has decided to leave Marseille once his contract expires at the end of the season.

Kamara is on the radar of a host of Premier League teams, such as Manchester United, Arsenal and Aston Villa.

The 22-year-old has been excellent for the Ligue 1 club, helping them to an unlikely second-place finish.

So, even though his impending free agency has not received as much publicity as the likes of Paul Pogba and Antonio Rudiger, signing him could prove to be an excellent piece of business this summer.

Mikel Arteta's Arsenal are looking for a midfield partner for Thomas Partey, while Man Utd could use his versatility to their advantage.

Kamara is predominantly a central midfielder, though he has performed well as a centre-back - which the Red Devils are equally in need of.

Boubacar Kamara's announcement

Despite Marseille's second-place finish, meaning qualification for next season's edition of the Champions League, Kamara has opted to leave the club.

''I made my decision, and it's not to extend and to leave OM at the end of this season,'' he said in an interview with Telefoot. ''I think it's the best decision for the rest of my career.''

''I am at a point in my career where I want to evolve, to discover a new challenge, a new championship. I have chosen my future club, and you will soon know.''

And said new championship is thought to be the Premier League, though the club is not yet known.

Kamara will be in action for France in the upcoming international fixtures, against Croatia, both at home and away, as well as Denmark, having been called up for the first time.

''It's an immense pride to have been called up, both for me and my family,' he added. ''I can't wait to be there!''

Meanwhile, Les Bleus boss Didier Deschamps said: ''This selection for Boubacar is thanks to everything he does at OM. It's also a step for him, and we'll see how it goes.''
