Four Arsenal players who need a transfer this summer
Arsenal hav e been one of the busiest teams in the 2022 summer transfer window, signing a host of players.
The Gunners have spent well over €100 million on the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner and Marquinhos.
They have also sold a number of players like Matteo Guendouzi and Bernd Leno, but many more could follow this month.
Here are four players who need to leave for the good of their career.
Nicolas Pepe
Pepe’s move to Arsenal hasn’t worked out, and it makes sense for all parties involved for the player to leave the club after three unfruitful years.
The Ivorian is still the Gunners’ record signing back in 2019, but he has rarely featured in Arteta’s plans, and it’s time for the club to cut ties.
He hasn’t started a match for Arsenal since October and it’s clear he’s well down the pecking order and with two years left on his contract, the club can still get a reasonable fee for the player.
Happy Birthday, Nicolas Pépé 🇨🇮🔥
It’s not everyday you score two free-kicks in the same game! 😉🎯

Ainsley Maitland-Niles
Maitland-Niles got a loan move to Roma in the winter but failed to impress in Jose Mourinho’s side, and has been sent back to London.
The player was never a big part of Arteta’s plans at the Emirates Stadium, and that could signal a chance for a move elsewhere.
Clubs lower down in the Premier League were interested in signing Maitland-Niles last year, and there will be options for him should he decide to leave this year.
Hector Bellerin
Arsenal are well-stacked with right-back options, and Hector Bellerin could be on his way out having spent the last season away on loan.
The Spaniard was at Real Betis, where he had a successful spell with the club, even winning the Copa del Rey with them as they beat Valencia in the final.
Bellerin wasn’t too missed as Arsenal had others to fill his position, and with his last few years at the club affected by injury and inconsistency, it makes sense to sell.
Lucas Torreira
Lucas Torreira has spent the last two years out on loan from Arsenal. He was at Atletico Madrid in 2020-21 and Fiorentina in 2021-22.
Torreira had wanted to stay with Fiorentina permanently but a deal couldn't be agreed and Galatasaray are now negotiating.
What is for sure is that Torreira has no place at Arsenal and needs to find a permanent home once and for all.
