Gabriel Jesus bidding war erupts

Manchester City are open to selling forward Gabriel Jesus, and there could be competition from the Premier League and abroad for the forward’s signature this summer.
Earlier this year, it was noted that Arsenal made the Brazilian their top priority, but a move has now been complicated by the fact that they won’t have Champions League football and that there is competition from La Liga.
Both Madrid clubs, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, have shown interest in the player, and could make a move for him to bolster their attacking options.

The Premier League champions are also more open to selling than they were before, having secured the signing of Erling Haaland, and having noted Jesus’ excessive wage demands, believed to be £4.3 million-per-year.
Where could Jesus move?
Certain clubs may be put off by Jesus’ high wage demands, but Arsenal are believed to be willing to match it, which is why they are still in pole position.
At Real Madrid, Jesus would face the same issue he currently has at Manchester City, as he will constantly be rotated with Karim Benzema and find consistent game time hard to come by.
Last week, the 25-year-old spoke about his future having spent time away with the Brazil national team: "I’m looking to see what’s best for me and above all, for my career. From Tuesday, we’ll see what is the best,"
Jesus has been at Manchester City since the winter transfer window of 2017, having signed for Pep Guardiola’s side from Palmeiras in the transfer window prior to that.

In his time, he has proven to be a consistent goalscorer, netting 95 goals across 236 appearances, but was never viewed as the first-choice forward, with Guardiola frequently trying out other options.
Despite that, he was a part of many title-winning teams, winning four Premier League titles, one FA Cup, three League Cups and playing in a Champions League final in 2021.
