The France international’s contract with Man Utd expired at the end of last month and he had already long decided that he would be departing on a Bosman transfer.

Pogba has signed a four-year contract in Turin worth around €8 million per season plus add-ons.

It is a return to Turin for Pogba, who enjoyed four brilliant years at Juventus from 2012 to 2016.

He initially signed for Juve from Man Utd as a teenager in the summer of 2012 – also on a free transfer - after he had been unhappy with the opportunities afforded to him in the first team by then-manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Pogba made his name under Antonio Conte and soon developed into one of the best midfielders in the world.

In his first spell at Juventus he made 178 appearances, scoring 34 goals.

He won four straight Scudetti, two Coppa Italias and two Italian Super Cups. He also reached the Champions League final in 2015.

Pogba will now be hoping to return Juventus to their former great levels after two disappointing seasons for the Bianconeri.

Juve have finished fourth twice in succession and failed to win a trophy in 2021-22.

Pogba's disappointing Man Utd spell

Pogba leaves Man Utd after six years back at the club, having returned to Old Trafford from Juventus in a world record transfer move in 2016.

However, the 29-year-old failed to succeed as hoped in a Man Utd shirt and won just two trophies.

These arrived in his first year back in 2016-17, as he claimed a Europa League and EFL Cup under Jose Mourinho.

Pogba has been heavily criticised by fans and the media for his inconsistent form, although he has produced some world-class performances.

He has increasingly suffered with injuries in recent years, while he was not helped by the dreadful performances and mismanagement of the team and club as a whole.

Pogba made 226 appearances in his second spell at Man Utd, scoring 39 goals.
