‘Cristiano Ronaldo to join Roma on July 7’
AS Roma are in negotiations to sign Cristiano Ronaldo and his transfer could be announced on July 7, according to former Italy star Angelo Di Livio.
Ronaldo’s future at Manchester United is very much in doubt as his agent Jorge Mendes has been offering his services to multiple clubs over the past week or so.
Cristiano is concerned about the club’s ability to challenge for trophies next season and his agent Mendes has thus begun to speak to other clubs.
Mendes has started testing the water to see who would be interested signing Ronaldo this summer.
So far, it is acknowledged that four clubs have been approached; Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Sporting Lisbon and Roma.
And former Roma youth team player Di Livio, who also starred for Juventus and Italy, claims that Ronaldo could be announced as a Giallorossi player on July 7.
What did Di Livio say?
“From what I’ve learned in recent days Roma are really trying to sign Ronaldo,” Di Livio told ReteSport.
“July 7 could the day when Ronaldo’s signing is announced.

“I have confirmation from several sources. I had the opportunity to speak with a close friend who works in television and who learned about the negotiations during dinner with a very important director at Roma.”
A move to Roma would see Ronaldo reunite with his former coach from Real Madrid, Jose Mourinho.
It would mark a sensational coup by the Europa Conference League champions, although it remains to be seen if Roma could afford Ronaldo’s astronomical salary.
Cristiano returned to Man Utd last summer after 12 years away in a much-publicised transfer from Juventus.
The superstar was aiming to bring the glory days back to Old Trafford and challenge for major trophies.
However, despite impressing individually with 24 goals in 38 games, Man Utd endured the worst season in the club’s Premier League history.
Ronaldo would thus like to leave the club this summer to join a team who can be more competitive after one of the rare years in his career in which he finished trophyless.
