Who are the most expensive transfers of the summer?

Julian Alvarez has become the most expensive signing of the 2024 summer transfer window so far.

The World Cup winner has left Manchester City to join Atletico Madrid for €75m, although the deal could rise to €95m with add-ons.

Dominic Solanke's move from Bournemouth to Tottenham is the second-most expensive transfer of the summer, costing €64.3m.

Leny Yoro's transfer from Lille to Manchester United was previously the largest deal of the summer, costing a whopping €62 million, with the deal reportedly able to rise to as high as €70m.

Pedro Neto joined Chelsea from Wolves to become the fourth-most costly deal of the window, setting the Blues back €60m for the winger.

Moussa Diaby ties Neto for fourth place, having joined Saudi giants Al-Ittihad for €60m just a year after joining Aston Villa for €55m.

Sixth on the list is Joao Neves. The Benfica wonderkid was linked with a Premier League move for months but ultimately joined PSG for €59.92m.

Seventh once again involves Unai Emery's side, though this time it is an incoming. Aston Villa signed Amadou Onana from Everton for €59.35m.

Dani Olmo moved to Barcelona from RB Leipzig for €55m to become the eighth biggest signing of the summer after impressing for Spain at Euro 2024.

Teun Koopmeiners clocks in at number nine after his €54.7m move from Atalanta to Juventus off the back of a brilliant 2023/24 season.

Michael Olise sits in tenth, with the French winger joining Bayern Munich for €53m from Crystal Palace. The Bundesliga giants beat Chelsea, Manchester United and many others to his signature.

The number 11 spot belongs to Joao Felix. Chelsea re-signed the Portugal international for a whopping €52m from Atletico Madrid.

Douglas Luiz’s €51.5m move from Aston Villa to Juventus is enough for him to slot into 12th place, with the Brazilian having starred at Villa Park, but he has now moved to Turin along with his partner Alisha Lehmann.

Olise’s new team-mate Joao Palhinha is the 13th-most expensive signing of the summer. The Portuguese international has also joined Bayern, with the Bavarians agreeing a €51m deal with Fulham after a year of interest.

Two deals involving PSG clock in at 14th. Desire Doue moved to Paris for €50m from Stade Rennais, while Manuel Ugarte left for Man Utd for the same sum.

Endrick and Max Kilman are tied for 16th place courtesy of their €47.5m moves to Real Madrid and West Ham United respectively, while Georginio Rutter's €46.7m move from Leeds to Brighton has him in 18th.

Riccardo Calafiori and Matthijs de Ligt are joint-19th after their €45m moves to Arsenal and Man Utd, respectively.
