Everton have a firm interest in Chelsea's Armando Broja and Conor Gallagher with Frank Lampard being a huge fan of both players, FootballTransfers is told.

The Toffees boss, who was an iconic figure with the Blues during his playing days and subsequently manager for 18 months up to January 2021, believes he had a good chance of getting former Crystal Palace loanee Gallagher, who he absolutely loves as a player. He ultimately knows that the Blues might not be willing to sell at this time, so a loan deal is more likely to transpire for the midfielder.

Everton also have a strong interest in Wolves' Morgan Gibbs-White, but sources have revealed that they are yet to bid for the midfielder, even though various outlets have suggested that they are readying a second offer after the first was rejected.

Other reports suggest that the Toffees have their eye on Watford striker Emmanuel Dennis - but we are informed that such reports are wide of the mark and that the Merseyside club have no interest in the Hornets' attacker at this time.

Strong competition

Though interest is there, Everton have a number of rival clubs to contend with in their quest to land some of these targets.

Broja has interest from Newcastle, who are weighing up a loan deal we are told, while other reports suggest that Napoli are now also keen on the striker.

The former Southampton loanee recently flew out to link up with Thomas Tuchel and the rest of the Chelsea side in the States. The Blues would rather a loan but the striker's ambition is game-time, sources state.

Gibbs-White is still a target for Steve Cooper at Nottingham Forest. An insider close to the deal explained that the Reds boss is a huge fan of the midfielder from their days together at Swansea - and that the feeling is reciprocated.

Meanwhile, Everton have a tight budget this summer, but some space has been freed up owing to the move of Richarlson to Tottenham.
