Chelsea are reportedly facing difficulty in offloading several first-team players, despite an overhaul wanted at the club.

The Blues have signed both Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly so far this summer, while Jules Kounde is close to arriving from Sevilla.

However, Thomas Tuchel was promised a 'war-chest' upon Todd Boehly's takeover and six new signings were reportedly what the German head coach wanted.

As a result, more business is expected to take place before the end of the window, but it may depend on selling some unwanted assets.

But, according to The Telegraph, shifting players is proving to be a very tricky task. The Blues are attempting to find buyers for Malang Sarr, Ross Barkley, Michy Batshuayi and Kenedy, without success, while any offers for Timo Werner and Kepa Arrizabalaga will be listened to.

The huge wages of each player is proving to be a sticking point, with clubs not willing to pay a transfer fee on top of meeting the wage demands of the players.

Chelsea have had offers

While Chelsea are trying to offload unwanted stars, the only bids that have come in as for players Tuchel doesn't want to lose. Armando Broja and Levi Colwill have both received offers from other clubs, but Tuchel has revealed he wants to keep the Albanian, while Colwill is being assessed in pre-season training.

The Englishman featured in the second-half against Charlotte FC, playing in the middle of Chelsea's back three.

Tuchel has sent Broja home after picking up an injury, while youngsters Billy Gilmour and Harvey Vale have been demoted to the U23s tour of the US instead of Barkley and Kenedy, likely in an attempt to increase interest in the pair.

Spanish duo Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso may also leave the club with Barcelona interested in signing both players as Xavi looks to bolster his defensive options.

So far, the only outgoings from Chelsea are: Romelu Lukaku, Ian Maatsen, Nathan Baxter and Jamie Cumming out on loan, and Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Jake Clarke-Salter, Charly Musonda and Danny Drinkwater leaving on free transfers.
