The Morrocan has been linked with a move to the San Siro ahead of the new season and Blues boss Thomas Tuchel is believed to be content with him leaving the side.

And the 29-year-old recently dropped a huge hint over his future, posting a statement on Instagram stressing his desire to take the reins when it comes to contract discussions and moves to other clubs.

“I have reached a point in my life where I feel the time is right for me to take full control over my professional future," Ziyech posted on Instagram.

"I want negotiations and decisions about my career to be made by me. So moving forward, my team and I, together with our legal representatives, will handle the business side of things.

"Professional interest should be directed to the contact info in my bio. I remain incredibly grateful for your continued support."

The Milan move

Though Ziyech does not appear to be in Tuchel’s plans, the move to Milan appears to have hit a snag.

Miguel Delaney of The Independent reports that the two sides have very different valuations for the winger and that any talk of a deal being ‘close’ is wide of the mark.

The Blues are enjoying an active window and look to be strengthening their attack with the likes of Raheem Sterling from Manchester City edging closer - while Raphinha of Leeds United is also another forward who has been targeted by the London club.

It speaks of a side that see Ziyech as surplus to requirements - but they may need to lower their asking price to see a move for the African star come into fruition.
