Arsenal are lining up a move for Shakhtar's Mykhaylo Mudryk as they look to bolster their attack before the transfer window closes.

The Gunners have moved onto the 21-year-old after being informed by Wolves that their primary target, Pedro Neto, was not for sale this summer.

Mudyrk is believed to have already agreed personal terms on a switch to the Emirates but Arsenal have yet to strike a fee with Shakhtar.

The Ukrainian side are reported to want €50 million for Mudryk, having already turned down a bid from Arsenal and Brentford in recent days, while the player has allegedly rejected a move to Everton.

While Arsenal do like Mudryk, they are conscious of financial fair play restrictions and will not pay over their valuation for the winger.

The club are also considering prioritising a move for a midfielder after Mohamed Elneny suffered a serious injury in the win over Fulham.

What are Arsenal's plans for deadline day?

Outgoings are likely going to be the key for Arsenal heading into the final day of the transfer window, with a host of players set to leave.

The Gunners are looking to lower their wage bill and they could terminate the contract of Hector Bellerin, with Barcelona a likely destination if terms can be agreed.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles is another player who could depart before the deadline, with Southampton leading the race for the England international and West Ham also interested.

Reiss Nelson is another potential departure and should Arsenal be able to shift their fringe players, they may then look to conduct a last-minute deal.

Danilo is the top target to replace Elneny, however Palmeiras are unwilling to sell their star midfielder mid-season despite rumours of a £20m bid from Arsenal.

Club director Edu Gaspar has previously spoken about any transfers only being possible if they represent financial sense for the club as well as improving the squad in the long-term.

It means a move for Danilo is more likely to be pursued in January, with Arsenal unwilling to sign a short-term alternative in the meantime.
