Manchester United have had a frantic transfer window, and go into its final days with plenty of business to complete as there are a few incomings and outgoings planned.

The Red Devils have signed three players so far this summer – Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez – and have agreed a deal with Real Madrid for the signing of midfielder Casemiro.

There’s going to be a busy end to the transfer window as they’re scrambling for players, having lost their opening two games of the season, before taking on Liverpool next on Monday night.

Erik ten Hag is reportedly looking to add more faces to his squad, including a new right-back, goalkeeper, forward and another midfielder to support the incoming Casemiro.

Possibly a few new faces incoming

First, there’s the stories over which forward will sign for Manchester United in the coming days, as the club have been linked to two brilliant Eredivisie players.

Antony of Ajax and Cody Gakpo of PSV are both admired by Erik ten Hag, and the coach wants to bring either one of them to Old Trafford for the rest of the season and beyond.

Ajax are in a good position and don’t need to sell – they’ll demand about €100 million for the Brazilian – while PSV are reportedly asking for less – around €50 million – and they’re waiting for their Champions League outcome.

Ten Hag’s team also wants a new midfielder, but before that, barring any unlikely visa or medical issues, they’ll complete a deal for Casemiro and his signing should be official by Tuesday, after United face Liverpool at home.

He should be able to make his debut in Manchester United’s league game after that, which is away at Southampton on Saturday, 27 August.

United are looking for a midfielder to complement him, with Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic linked, however, no firm offer has been made for the player yet and the club have only spoken with his representatives.

Brighton’s Moises Caicedo, who has often impressed against Manchester United, has also been linked to the club, with a €50 million fee valuation reportedly set on the player.

After months of negotiation, it seems unlikely that Frenkie de Jong will leave Barcelona in this window as United haven’t been able to find their way past the legal issues complicating the deal

Their also looking to add to their quality at the back, and have been linked to two right-backs recently: Barcelona’s Sergino Dest, and Monaco’s Vanderson, with Ten Hag being a fan of both.

In goal, Ten Hag is looking for a back-up goalkeeper to compete with De Gea and Borussia Monchengladbach’s Yann Sommer and Everton’s Asmir Begovic have been linked.

Some players could leave

To leave the club, it seems likely that Eric Bailly will be on his way to France as Marseille have reached an agreement with Manchester United for a loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.

James Garner is another that has reportedly been on the transfer market, with Tottenham, Nottingham Forest and West Ham United interested in the player.

Finally, Cristiano Ronaldo has wished to leave the club once again but there have been no concrete offers for him and barring a late shock, it seems as though he’s going to be staying at Old Trafford this season.
