Chelsea are preparing a last-ditch bid to sign Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace before the window closes, according to multiple reports.

The winger has just a single year left remaining on his contract and his entourage are thought to have encouraged the interest from the Blues.

Chelsea have been linked with a whole host of moves in recent weeks, with the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Everton's Anthony Gordon also thought to be targets for Thomas Tuchel's men.

But Zaha appears to have moved to the top of the list and given his contractual situation, Chelsea appear confident that they can get the deal done.

Zaha has been at Palace since 2014, moving from Manchester United after his big move to Old Trafford soured.

He has been linked with a move to a big club virtually every summer since, but his stayed in London and made himself a key player in Patrick Vieira's evolution.

Palace have made a superb start to the season and Zaha has been key to that, scoring twice in last weekend's victory over Aston Villa, as well as scoring at Anfield.

The 29-year-old may feel this is his last opportunity to secure that move that he craves and Palace may chose not to stand in his way if the fee received can be reinvested.
