How Alvaro Morata can fit in at Man Utd
Manchester United's search for a striker has now taken them to Madrid, as they turn their attentions towards Atletico's Alvaro Morata.
The Red Devils are still in the dark over Cristiano Ronaldo's future, though manager Erik ten Hag has now suggested that the veteran is happy to stay at Old Trafford beyond the summer transfer window.
Nevertheless, with precious few attackers available to accompany Ronaldo United are planning to enter the market for a new face.
According to reports Morata, 29, is now a top target for the club.
The former Real Madrid and Juventus striker has suffered mixed fortunes over the course of his career but remains a reliable threat in the penalty area who will add much-needed depth to the United forward line.
Man United have held talks over Alvaro Morata, who's thought to be available for £29million. The Spanish striker is a genuine possibility, reports The Athletic.

Morata would be available for a fee of around £29million (€35million) and Atletico would likely be happy to sell, with the likes of Joao Felix, Antoine Griezmann, Angel Correa and Matheus Cunha giving Diego Simeone plenty of options even without the Spain international.
Morata's recent track record
The last two seasons have seen the forward out on loan with Juventus, where he returned 32 goals in 92 games in all competitions.
His previous spell in the Premier League, however, proved rather underwhelming.
Morata moved to Chelsea ahead of the 2017-18 season after shining for Real Madrid the previous term, costing the Blues £60 million.
But the striker managed just 24 goals before being shipped out on loan to Atletico midway through his second year, in a deal that was eventually made permanent at a small loss for the Londoners at the end of 2019.
