How much will Cucurella earn at Chelsea?
After a relatively quiet summer in the transfer market, Chelsea are gearing up for a hectic final stretch as they look to push through a number of deals before the 2022-23 season begins.
Brighton ace Marc Cucurella is now on the verge of joining the Blues, after just a single season on the south coast.
The 24-year-old won a lot of fans with his performances for the Seagulls and has seemingly convinced Chelsea to splash out as they look to shore up the left side of defence.
Manchester City were also in the chase for the Spaniard, but while the Premier League champions balked at Brighton's valuation Chelsea are ready to meet their demands in order to close a deal.
How much will Cucurella cost?
According to journalist and transfer expert Nicolo Schira, Cucurella will cost the Blues €60 million, with confirmation now expected imminently.
The player, meanwhile, is in line to receive a five-year contract which will pay €6m annually, a figure close to double what he is currently earning at the Amex Stadium.

Cucurella is a graduate of Barcelona's faced La Masia academy, and made his debut at the age of 19 in a Copa del Rey victory over Murcia.
But that proved to be his first and last game for the Catalan's senior ranks, as he failed to break into the first-team amid stiff competition for places at Camp Nou.
The youngster went on to play on loan for Eibar and Getafe before completing a permanent move to the latter in 2020, while Brighton swooped for his services the following summer on transfer deadline day.
Cucurella was then ever-present in the Brighton starting XI for the rest of the Premier League season, winning rave reviews for his performances down the left and catching the eye of the likes of City and Chelsea.
