Manchester United have once again turned to Atletico Madrid to solve their forward issues after having bids turned down by them for Matheus Cunha and Joao Felix.

United are believed to be seriously considering a move for Yannick Carrasco, with the Belgian winger reportedly allowed to leave Atletico for £25.5 million.

The English side also retain an interest in Christian Pulisic of Chelsea, while they are thought to be considering a fresh approach for Ajax's Antony but a move for Carrasco would represent a cheaper option.

United are also assessing their options after they altered their stance on Cristiano Ronaldo, with the club open to selling him due to his attitude allegedly having a negative effect on the dressing room.

Ronaldo had been linked with a move to Atletico earlier in the summer but the Spaniards are not interested in the former Real Madrid star and have not considered utilising the 37-year-old in negotiations.

Another one to add to the list for United

United have been linked with more than 20 players since their 4-0 loss to Brentford which has seen them fall to the bottom of the Premier League for the first time in 30 years.

The dire start to the season has forced the club into action and they had a €50m bid rejected by Atletico for Cunha as well as a record €130m approach turned down for Felix.

The priority for United is believed to be a defensive midfielder, and the club are hoping to secure the signing of Casemiro from Real Madrid before their next game against Liverpool.

Erik ten Hag also wants to sign a backup goalkeeper, a right-back, a winger and a striker, with potentially another player coming in if Ronaldo is sold.

An approach for Carrasco would likely be in tandem with a move for someone like Pulisic, while the American's teammate at Chelsea, Hakim Ziyech, is also being considered.

However, while Ten Hag is a fan of Antony having managed him at Ajax, the Dutch side are not believed to be interested in selling and had previously slapped a €100m price tag on the Brazilian.

Carrasco has scored 30 goals in nearly 150 La Liga appearances for Atletico across two spells and will likely feature for Belgium in the upcoming World Cup.
