The Glazers have already funded moves for Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia, plus Christian Eriksen on a free transfer, but they are prepared to invest even more into the Manchester United squad before the summer transfer window ends.

The Red Devils lost their opening two Premier League fixtures of the season, to Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford, with the latter defeat a serious cause for concern.

Erik ten Hag's side reacted by announcing that a deal had been struck with Real Madrid for five-time Champions League winning midfielder Casemiro, with the Brazilian signing a four-year deal at Old Trafford. There is also an option for a further year included in the contract.

However, their transfer market activity is far from over, with the club targeting multiple additional acquisitions in an attempt to rectify a poor start to the campaign and rediscover past glories.

The aforementioned Martinez has already joined Ten Hag at Man Utd, from their previous club Ajax, and another star of Ten Hag's Ajax side could be joining too - namely Antony.

An €80 million bid has reportedly been turned down by the Eredivisie giants, but Man Utd are heavily interested in landing the young Brazilian this summer to fix their issue at right-wing.

However, the Glazers are ready to invest into the squad, as CBS reporter Ben Jacobs told FootballTransfers when he discussed the possible transfer activity that Man Utd could complete before Deadline Day

£250m barrier set to be broken

"The Glazers are prepared to move late in the market with financial muscle; Manchester United's window should now be judged at the very end," Jacobs said.

"There's been doom and gloom throughout because everyone's been doing the maths and there's been a feeling that Manchester United might only spent £150 million and a club like Chelsea could pay double that. But now Manchester United have got the money and they're prepared to push towards the end of the window for two or three [more signing], and if you add up who they are looking for and who they've already brought in, this is a football club that could end up spending over £200m and maybe even pushing £250m.

"Whether this is ambition or whether this is panic, there's absolutely no doubt that Manchester United mean business in the final few days of the window."
