Man Utd target Gakpo offered new PSV deal
Manchester United's pursuit of Netherlands winger Cody Gakpo could become more complicated with PSV Eindhoven attempting to tie him down to a long-term deal.
United have a long-held interest in Ajax winger Antony, but the Amsterdam club's €100 million asking price has forced them to sound out alternatives.
Gakpo is one such player, a wide man who contributed 21 goals and 15 assists in all competitions for PSV last season and is already off the mark with three and four in each column this.

Rated at €29 million by Football Transfers' sophisticated inhouse algorithm, Gakpo might fetch significantly more given United's desperation to complete more deals before the window closes at the end of the month.
And PSV also have no intention of letting him leave.
Sangare already tied down
"PSV's approach is clear," report local newspaper Eindhovens Dagblad. "Just like [Ibrahim] Sangare, Gakpo has been offered a five-year contract, which means that he remains one of the highest-paid players in the Eredivisie.
"Sangare accepted the offer earlier this month, Gakpo not yet."
Defensive midfielder Sangare had also previously been linked with a move to Old Trafford but extended his deal with PSV until 2027 instead. United have since acquired Casemiro from Real Madrid in a €82m deal.
Sangare scored against Rangers as PSV drew 2-2 with the Scottish side in the first leg of their Champions League play-off last Tuesday.
If the Eredivisie side can finish the job on home turf this Wednesday, Gakpo is more likely to stay and play a season of Champions League football before reconsidering his future next summer.
United's summer spending is now up to €143m after Casemiro followed Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia in signing for the club.
The Red Devils have nonetheless made a harrowing start to the season, losing 2-1 to Brighton and then 4-0 at Brentford.
