Why Man Utd are preparing to TERMINATE Ronaldo’s contract
Manchester United are considering terminating Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract unless he improves his attitude drastically.
It is reported by Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol that Man Utd are at the end of their tether with Ronaldo’s behaviour and lack of professionalism since the start of the summer and into the current season.
They have come to the decision that Ronaldo cannot continue to behave as he is currently and if he doesn’t improve his attitude dramatically then they will have no other option but to terminate his contract.
Sky adds that Ronaldo’s behaviour and body language has not gone unnoticed among his teammates but no one in the Man Utd dressing room has stood up to challenge him yet because of his reputation.
The problems started before pre-season when Ronaldo put in a transfer request to leave the club.
The Portuguese superstar wants to join a club that is in the Champions League and can challenge for major trophies.
His agent Jorge Mendes has been offering him out to numerous clubs around Europe, without finding a taker yet.
Ronaldo chose not to go on tour with Man Utd during the summer, citing family reasons.
He did not begin training again until the last week of pre-season, playing just one friendly match against Rayo Vallecano.
Ronaldo creating toxic atmosphere
He caused controversy during that game by leaving Old Trafford before the match had finished.
His attitude and body language were also called into question during the first two Premier League matches of the season, a 2-1 home defeat to Brighton and 4-0 loss at Brentford.
Feeling that the situation with Ronaldo is coming to a head. Either he is going to have to change his attitude and body language or Manchester United will have to terminate his contract. Can’t go on like this. No one in the dressing room is challenging him because of his status.

At full-time against Brentford he was filmed storming off down the tunnel and not acknowledging manager Erik ten Hag at full-time.
The feeling is that Ronaldo is creating a toxic atmosphere within the club and that things can’t continue as they are.
Ronaldo has a contract until 2023, although his huge salary means that any termination of his deal will be very expensive.
