Manchester United are looking to improve their attacking ranks, and have targeted Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic as a possible option to help them in that area.

The Chelsea winger is open to a move away from the club to increase his game time ahead of the World Cup, as he’s struggled for minutes at Stamford Bridge.

United, too, need depth in that area, and see Pulisic as an attainable target, but will face competition from others if they want to secure the player’s signature.

Chelsea are willing to listen to loan offers, and will consider permanent deals later on, indicating Thomas Tuchel’s desire to continue favouring other players ahead of him in the squad.

Plenty of interest in Pulisic

The other clubs interested in him are Serie A duo Milan and Juventus, as well as Premier League rivals Newcastle United, who are looking to bolster their front line themselves.

Pulisic has been open to the idea of a move to Italy in recent times, and was reported to have spoken to USA team-mate Weston McKennie about life in Italy.

McKennie has, of course, spent the last few seasons at Juventus, and has advised Pulisic to take the chance if he gets it in the coming weeks.

Juventus are also open to the idea and considered signing Pulisic as far back as June this year, with the player’s availability now making this an even more likely deal.

As for Newcastle, Chelsea apparently share a good relationship with their new ownership group and would be open to doing business with them on several loan deals.

Newcastle have wanted to sign several Chelsea players on loan, including the likes of Armando Broja and Conor Gallagher, and could swoop for Pulisic instead.

Pulisic has been advised by US head coach Greg Berhalter to find a new club ahead of the World Cup – his place in the team isn’t in danger, but he needs better club performances to boost his chances of starting.
